My Brand Identity Process.

Creating a brand identity is more than just a logo - it’s about building a complete visual system that reflects your business, connects with your audience, and sets you apart from competitors. My brand identity design process is built around six clear steps, giving you structure, creativity, and confidence from discovery through to delivery. Whether you’re launching a new brand or refreshing an existing one, this process ensures your brand identity is professional, consistent, and memorable.

Introductions.

Let's begin by getting to know each other. I want to hear about your business: what you do, why you want a brand identity, and where you see your brand in 1-5 years. We’ll also go over your budget, timeline, and how I work. If everything feels good, I’ll send over a detailed proposal.

Proposal & Agreement.

Once we agree on the scope, I’ll send a proposal that outlines what you’ll receive (deliverables), project phases, fixed pricing, timeline, and terms. After you’re happy with everything, we’ll proceed and I’ll issue the first payment to begin work.

Research & Strategy.

This is where we dive deep. I’ll research your market, competitors, target audience, current trends, and what makes your brand unique. Together, we’ll clarify your brand values, messaging, and audience expectations. This strategic foundation ensures your brand identity is not only visually appealing but also meaningful and effective.

Conceptual Design.

With strategy locked in, I’ll produce a few design directions (usually 3), exploring different logo styles, visual themes, colour palettes, and typography. You’ll see each concept applied across mockups - social media, website, stationery, packaging - so you can visualise how your brand works in real life.

Refinement & Implementation.

After your feedback, I refine the chosen concept. We polish colours, fonts, and details. Then I prepare everything needed to implement your brand across all touch points: digital & print assets, style guides, social media templates, etc. I make sure it’s practical, usable, and consistent.

Ongoing Support.

Even after delivery, I stay available for tweaks or advice. Whether you need help applying the brand to marketing materials, adapting for new platforms, or creating add-ons, I’ve got you. Because brands evolve - and so should the support.
